PRIMROSE PARK ART & CRAFT CENTRE INC - PPACCI
Members of the six groups working out of Primrose Park Art and Craft Centre will be combining forces for our June exhibition, 'Forces of Nature'. The community is invited to the exhibition opening night being held 6.30-8pm Friday 6th June. The exhibition will be open daily June 6-26th 11am-3pm (except the King's Birthday). Come see basketry, paintings, textiles, photography, paper arts and calligraphy works and be inspired!
Join us when we open the doors at Primrose Park Art and Craft Centre to show you what we do. Bring your friends along and have a go. Or watch our expert creators demonstrate their skills: painting, basketry, textiles, photography, paper arts, and calligraphy. Find out how to join, use the facilities, create with others, learn a new skill, exhibit your work, and view our current exhibition.
Free entry (refreshments, exhibition pieces and pop up shop items for sale)
Sunday 22 June, 10am-3pm.
The artists studios will be open next door as well.
Primrose Park Art and Craft Centre is located on Matora Lane in Cremorne.
We acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land on which we meet, Wulworra-Jeung of the Cam-mer-ray-gal, and recognise their continuing connection to land, water and culture. We pay respects to their elders past, present and emerging.
We are a community art and craft facility in the North Sydney Municipality. Significantly refurbished by North Sydney Council in 2019, the facility now has a lift, display galleries, audio-visual equipment, a photographic darkroom, a large workspace area, a kitchenette, and more - ideal for pursuing our artistic endeavours.
In 1899, the location became the first North Sydney sewerage works, which closed in 1926. The North Sydney Council refurbished the facility into an art, craft and sports precinct in 1991, and it was significantly renovated in 2019.
The Centre is here for you. We work hard to be a resource for our community. Currently, we have six art & craft groups utilising the Centre;
Artists, basketry, calligraphy, paper making, photography, and textiles: Would you like to join an existing group? Perhaps you can introduce a new art or craft group activity?
